Holding Space For The Teen Girl

July 11, 2017 Blog

Yesterday afternoon marked the end of our first teen girl’s group for Holding Space.

When we set out to start this program, we knew it had the potential to really help young girls learn to shift from a perspective of fear to love and from shame to respect. After watching these girls grow in just 4 weeks, we know this program has the power to really impact the self-worth as young women.

What we didn’t know was how much we too would be impacted by this process and how deeply we would connect with this group of amazing girls.

“When one teaches, two learn.” We would like to thank all of these young women, from the bottom of our hearts for being open and trusting this process. We love each of you so much for allowing us to guide you during these last four weeks, you have touched our hearts and have cemented, more than ever before, that this is our path and purpose. I can’t tell you how many times @nevergrew and I looked at each other during and after class with awe in our eyes. I have never experienced another time in my life when I have been so completely present and so completely certain that I have found my place.

We are so thankful to everyone who attended this first beta group and are looking forward to having all of you back in the fall for our first full session of “6 weeks to self-love.” Namaste, storytellers.
